MA ELT Leadership Session 3

Hello MA ELT Leaders,

Our final Leadership Team Session of the 2013-14 school year will take place on Thursday, May 1st from 8am-3pm at the Holiday Inn, located at 265 Lakeside Avenue, Marlborough, MA 01752. For this session you will be presenting on progress this year on your selected improvement area (from the ELT Expectations & Indicators), as well as your community outreach efforts, using the PowerPoint template sent to your principals.  The presentation should be 10 minutes in length and will be shared with the entire group.  Further instructions are outlined in the PowerPoint template.  Please see below for what else to expect from the session and a list of what to bring.

 Who should attend?

  • All principals
  • Key members of your Instructional Leadership Team
  • At least one central office leader 

What should you expect from Session 3?

  • To present on the progress you’ve made this year on the Expectation & Indicators your team chose to focus on and on your community outreach efforts
  • The opportunity to hear from other school teams on their own progress
  • A preview of Mass 2020’s Time for Teachers report
  • Work time to begin to map out your professional learning calendars for spring/summer/SY14-15

What should you bring?

  • Your presentation saved on a flash drive and artifacts that illustrate your progress
  • Your Expectations & Indicators Action Plan from Session 2
  • Any documents related to your professional learning plan to assist your team in mapping out the calendar for the future (SY14-15 district calendar, assessment dates, etc.)

TGIS Brewfest Rules & Regulations:

• No entrance for anyone showing signs of intoxication.
• Tickets will not be refunded if refused entrance.
• No Re-admission once you leave the Trade Center Building & Tent.
• No Pets allowed.
• No Food or Beverages may be brought into the Brewfest.
• No Backpacks, Coolers or Containers allowed.
• No Glass allowed.
• All bags will be checked by security.
• Tailgating and/or camping is not allowed on the grounds & parking lots of the Royal Plaza Trade Center & Hotel.
• Unruly persons will be escorted off the premises – No re-admittance.
• No smoking allowed in the Trade Center.
• No one under 21 is allowed inside the Brewfest (this includes young children & babies).
• Promotional photos & video will be taken at the Brewfest and you grant permission for your likeness to be used.
• Schedule your restroom breaks during the 4 hour period. Each session ends promptly and site will be cleared immediately at the close of session.

Beer Tasting Information:

• Plan your tasting agenda. Save time by making your tasting decisions before you arrive. Beers may be subject to change and we cannot predict the demand for certain beers, so we do not guarantee availability of any beer listed. So think ahead, beer list will be posted ASAP.
• Afternoon session’s taps open at 1:00pm & Evening session’s taps open at 6:00pm.
• Last pour will be 4:15/20pm in afternoon session & 9:15/20pm in evening session.
• You must be of Legal Drinking Age (21yrs +) to participate. Transgressors will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
• Photo ID is required ( US Drivers License, Valid Passport ).
• No more then 2 sample pours permitted at a time.
• Each tasting participant must stand in line for his/her sample.
• Beer will be poured into approved supplied sampling containers only. Drinking alcohol from other than approved containers may be cause for confiscation of container and expulsion from the Brewfest without reentry or refund.
• Servers have the right to refuse to serve a patron at any time.
• Unruly persons will be escorted of the premises, with no re-admittance allowed or refund.
• Beware of “driving while intoxicated laws” and plan accordingly. Marlborough Police will be on site.

Nancy L. Girard, Esq.

Commissioner, City of Boston Environment Department

Commissioner Nancy Girard leads Boston’s efforts to protect its built and natural environments and oversee policies and programs on environmental issues affecting Boston including climate action, historic sites, buildings, landscapes, and waterways. 

Ms. Girard has more than 20 years of experience in environmental, energy, municipal and land planning law. Before establishing her own practice, Girard was the director, vice president and senior attorney at the Conservation Law Foundation’s New Hampshire Advocacy Center. She also worked for the State of New Hampshire’s Fish and Game Department. Girard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Amherst College followed by a Master of Arts in International Studies (specialization in natural resource and environmental policy) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver.\

Northeast Security & Systems Contractors Expo is going to take place for one day and the venue of this event is Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough, MA. This is the perfect place where the security professionals are gathering from ages to showcase their products and services associated with security services. The Royal Arts and Craft Festival will be held indoor at the Royal Plaza Trade Center,
in Marlborough, MA , on Friday, October 24, Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26, 2014.

This event features over 150 Juried Craftsmen and Artisans and all works are proudly made in the USA. Among the work on display and for sale are Country Woodcrafts, Pottery, Photography, Fine Jewelry, Soaps, Fiber Arts, Quilts, Folk Art, Blown Glass, Wearable Art, Ceramics, Stained Glass, Ornaments, Metal Sculpture, Floral Design, Leather, and much more.
